Thanks to the Telford Circuit who hosted Representative Synod on Saturday 13 April at Wrekin College. We spent the morning thinking about what makes a ‘good ending; – to the life of a person or a congregation. Very much helped in our thinking by Revd Gary Windon, Minister for Audlem Mission Area and Hospice Chaplain at Nightingale House Hospice, Wrexham – and by Revd Liz Dunning, minister in the Brownhills and Willenhall Circuit. We were also privileged to witness the video Peter Knight had made in the week before his death.
In the afternoon we dealt with a wide range of business reminding us of the diversity of life within the District. This included a presentation on Homelessness and consideration of two Memorials.
Felt like a suitable Synod to prepare us to enter Holy Week. Thanks to all who participated.
