Representative Synod on 18th April 2015

Representative Synod which took place at Dudley Collage on 18th April and was joined by Wild Goose Resource Group, part of the Iona Community.

The Synod was a great day of worship and fellowship giving us the opportunity to look at some of the Wild Goose Hymns and Songs found in Singing the Faith.

Presbyteral Synod met on the 19th March 2015

This synod is all about people – we heard reports about and testimony’s from our probationers, we heard from those who are wanting to “sit down” in September and we all reaffirmed our ministries and the discipline of the Methodist church that we are called and ordained into, at our annual communion service. Our communion bread was made on site, as every member of synod had earlier been given the opportunity to make bread, and explore Bread Church.

Our first Representative Synod of the new Connexional Year took place at Trinity Codsall Methodist Church in the Wolverhampton Circuit on 13th September 2014.

It was a delight to welcome the Vice-President of The Methodist Conference to join us at Synod on this occasion and to address members of the topic of Mental Health and the Church.  Synod then broke into workshops covering different aspects of this topic.

Synod concluded it’s Autumn Business in the traditional way by joining together in Holy Communion led by the Chair of District, Revd John Howard.
